It’s time for another week of fun games that you can play on your Android enabled handset. This week I’m going to feature three completely different games. One is a tower defense game called Bubble Defense and a 3D space shooter called Radiant. So without further adieu, let’s get right down to it.
Bubble Defense
Developer: Second Gear Games
Price: Free
Bubble Defense is a simple tower defense game in every sense of the word. It looks like drawings from a child’s sketchbook from a graphical standpoint, but what it lacks in flourish it makes up for with simple and fast gameplay. You have access to towers that can shoot in one direction, multiple directions or dispense elemental properties. The pace isn’t as frantic because you can choose to pause the game to place more towers. Is it the best tower defense game on the Android Marketplace, no it isn’t, but it’s free and flows very well.
Radiant
Developer: Hexage
Price: (Not yet available)
Radiant is the third game created by Hexage. Its previous two games Buka and Totemo were well received and from what I’ve played, Radiant will follow suit. The gameplay is obviously inspired by Galaga right down to the enemies formations. The game is not yet available on the Android Marketplace but a demo can be downloaded from Android and Me. My only complaint about the game is that it can be sluggish when trying to move and shoot at the same time. I love the colorful 3D graphics that help to showcase what Android is capable of, but it’s still not quite there yet. This is just a demo though so let’s keep our fingers crossed that all the bugs will be worked out before its official release.
