To promote the upcoming release of Double Fine Productions’ Brütal Legend, a three-pack from the soundtrack will be available at the Rock Band music store next week. If you’re lucky you may even be able to get it for free.

At least one person so far is excited. “These are three great songs that totally capture the feeling of Brütal Legend. I can’t wait to play them in Rock Band,” said Tim Schafer, Double Fine Productions founder. “I’ve air-drummed to all of them so many times, I’m sure I’ll be able to beat them on hard mode, no problem. Or at least on medium. Like medium plus. That’s a setting, right?”

The pack features “(We Are) The Road Crew ‘08” by Motörhead, “The Metal” by Tenacious D and “More Than Meets the Eye” by Testament. It’ll be released on October (or to quote EA, Rocktober) 13th, simultaneously with the game. Brütal Legend will be available for the Xbox 360 and the Ps3.

Also for a limited time beginning October 13th, you can receive a free download code for the Brütal Legend pack with purchase of the game at any Best Buy store.
