Well, color me nostalgic! LucasArts’ classic Super Nintendo games Super Star Wars, Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi are coming to the Wii Virtual Console. More specifically, Super Star Wars is available today on Virtual Console for 800 points, while the other two games do not yet have an announced release date.
These releases are made possible with the recent partnership of Nintendo and LucasArts, according to Kotaku. Expect more LucasArts games to hit the Virtual Console in the future.
This may just be my incentive to dust off my Wii and fire it up after months of idleness. I’ve got fond memories of playing Super Star Wars over and over as a kid. This was primarily because unlike its sequels, I could actually beat the game — provided I had the extra lives that you collect at the bottom of that one cliff that you can access if you jump *just* the right way.
