As the Fall season approaches we are preparing for the launch of Facebook and Twitter services on Xbox Live. Microsoft is defiantly trying to get as many people as possible hooked up with these services as evidenced by today’s price drop announcement. However a news story broke this morning about the Fall update which was proven to be false.

According to this morning’s announcement, Facebook and Twitter services would only be available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Before the tears of many could begin to dry Microsoft contacted MCV to correct that statement. A spokesperson for Microsoft said the company “is still formulating its plans” in regards to access to Facebook and Twitter.
