July 28, 2009 8:20 pm by Jeremy Hill If there is one thing about the PS3 that needs to go away for good it’s the mandatory installs. Some games take over four gigabytes of hard drive space before you can play them. That doesn’t even cover the amount of space that will be required for other things such as patches and downloadable content. Fortunately for us Sony’s big title for 2009, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, will not require such an install.
This news comes straight from Naughty Dog’s Twitter page where it corrected some outlets who incidentally reported the game would need a mandatory install of 1.7GB.
Also just a friendly reminder that there will be another online beta for Uncharted 2‘s multiplayer mode pretty soon. Naughty Dog says more people will be able to get involved this time around.
