July 28, 2009 7:55 pm by Jeremy Hill Financial conference calls may sound boring on paper but it’s amazing what kind of breaking news can come from them. Today THQ had its financial conference call and revealed a possible release date for Project Natal before Microsoft officially announces it. According to IGN, THQ CEO Brian Farrell spilled the big jar of beans.
“If you look at what’s happening in the industry, the fact that we have, for example, Natal from Microsoft - a platform addition - coming late next year” said Farrell.
Additional hardware peripherals such as Natal convinces THQ that this generation of consoles could go on for at least 3 to 5 more years.
Microsoft’s other big venture starring Milo wasn’t mentioned at all but we’d imagine that project is still a ways off from being readily accessible.
