It seems that when it comes to multi-platform titles, PC gamers continually get the shaft. Whether it’s a later release date or a crappy port that shipped with a ton of bugs, PC gamers seem to get the short end of the stick more often than not. Sure PC games normally get additional content from their console counter parts, but does that make up for it? The most recent insult that I can remember was with Red Faction Guerrilla, not only did this title launch on the PS3 and Xbox360 months before the PC version, where it still hasn’t launched, but we still don’t even have a PC demo for it.
Today via CheapAssGamer we see Gamestop is having a sale over the next few days that includes the following titles being marked down to $20.
- F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (PS3 & Xbox360)
- Lair (PS3)
- Silent Hill: Homecoming (Xbox360)
- Street Fighter IV (PS3 & Xbox360)
- Wanted: Weapons of Fate (PS3 & Xbox360)
- Animal Crossing: City Folk – (Wii)
- Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (Wii)
- Excitebots: Trick Racing – (Wii)
- MadWorld ( Wii)
- Mario & Sonic at Olympic Games (Wii)
- Wario Land: Shake It (Wii)
- Wii Music (Wii)
My grip with GameStop is that the recently release Street Fighter 4 is only on sale for Xbox360 and PS3. WTF is that? Where’s the discount on the PC version? I don’t care about console exclusive titles, but if the games out on PC, why not discount that also? Are we PC gamers so rich with our expensive computers that we can afford to pay full price? I think not, after all those 30″ monitors aren’t cheap. Maybe it’ll go on sale on Steam soon.
