Today may be Canada Day but the weekend belongs to Independence Day in America. In an effort to celebrate the true meaning of freedom, Call of Duty: World at War and Gears 2 will be throwing a double XP weekend. According the official Xbox site, double XP for WaW starts Friday July 3 at 10AM (PST) and goes on until Monday July 5 at 10AM (PST). Everyone from around the world will be able to participate in all the fragging goodness. In addition to getting double XP, stages from map pack 2 will be brought into the main Core and Hardcore playlists.
If reliving battles from WWII isn’t your idea of a good time you always have Gears 2. It will also be celebrating the holiday weekend by giving double the XP for your exploits. Winning teams will also get an additional 500 XP for each battle won. A post on the Epic Games forums lists Friday morning for the start of the festivities and will end Monday morning.
Which game will you be racking up experience on this weekend?
