Battlefield 1943 Blows Away Competition in Download Games Sales

EA DICE announced today that Battlefield 1943 is the fastest-selling download-only game worldwide for both day one and week one purchases. Since its July 8th launch, Battlefield 1943 has sold over 600,000 copies on Xbox LIVE and PSN. The game is available on Xbox LIVE for 1200 MS points, or on PSN for $15.

Producer Gordon Van Dyke also revealed that so far, the WWII multiplayer shooter has reached 43 million kills. That’s a whole lot of teabagging that occurred in a short period of time.
