The goal was simple. The online community for Battlefield 1943 had to accumulate a total of 43 million kills in order to unlock a new map called Coral Sea. Despite technical problems with the game,  Xbox 360 players have banded together and achieved this goal less than two weeks after the game released. PS3 players haven’t quite gotten there yet but should join their 360 brethren in no time.

Coral Sea is an air based map that focuses on dog fights. This means no ground combat - just planes, machine guns and a whole lot of inaccurate shooting. The next time you boot up the game the option to select the map should appear unless more technical glitches have been unearthed.
