 Illustration from Sony's Controller Patent
With E3 quickly approaching the rumors are starting to fly. It looks like one that has been around for the last few years may actually materialize, motion sensing controllers for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Variety is reporting the possibility of the PS3 receiving an LED based motion sensing controller similar to a patent filed back in the fall. Engadget is reporting the Xbox 360 may get a full body motion sensor that does not require any physical controller at all other than a motion bar on your tv. Nintendo has it’s enhanced motion sensing accessory, Wii MotionPlus, coming on June 8th. It will extent the console’s ability to have true one for one motion sensing, something that most hardcore gamers wanted from day one. E3 begin’s on the 2nd and this may be just what Microsoft and Sony need to put a little cold water on the ultra hot Wii. Either way, there is little doubt that Microsoft and Sony are working on something to fight the Wii Machine.

This war will not see th day light if u journalists stop it… the media and journalism are the ones who creates the wars…
well all i have to say is sony already has a motion sensor controller so all they need is the LED tracking thing there supposedly developing and there golden. As for microsoft there to far behind and when sony does finish there controller microsofts excuse for not having one will most likely be something stupid like ohh well we dont need it we have gears of war ohh and gears of war 2 so we dont need motion control. lol
is there really a patent for sensors like the ones in the illustration? i’m not gonna try to pull that kind of moves in my living room lol.
Sorry dude but Sony truelly fumbled the ball with the high inaccurate and pointless sixaxis…
Just look at that patent above… how clunky do those sensor markers look. Ah man, sonys goofed it again, doomed to failure.
sony are LAST again
