Ok, that isn’t the official title of the recently released Fear 2: Project Origin, but it could be.  You see with all the fuss over the last few years with sex in video games, it seems very strange to me that I didn’t know Fear 2 had a simulated sex scene until I saw it.  Granted it’s the absolute last part of the game, but it’s there.  For those of you who haven’t played the game or haven’t gotten that far yet, let me paint you a picture. (Spoiler Alert)

In the final battle of the game, you have to kill your squad mate who has become obsessed with Alma and is trying to kill you because she likes you more.  While you’re fighting him, you are treated to quick flashes of Alma riding you and moaning in pleasure, even though you’re still fighting the other guy, because the fight is actually in your head and you are strapped into a chair.   Once you kill him, you awake in the chair where you were strapped too and Alma is still riding you.  Then there’s a nice explosion to let us know… well you know.  The next scene shows Alma pregnant with your baby.  OOOH, can we say Fear 3

The game is rated M, so I have absolutely no problem with this in the least.  There’s plenty of F bombs throughout the game not to mentions extreme violence, so I don’t see anything wrong with throwing in a sex scene.  I’m just suprised no one brought it up earlier.

For my review of the game, well I’ll keep it short.  If you liked the original Fear, you’ll gona like Fear 2.  The combat and game in general is very similar, however I do think the original Fear was scarier.  The maps are much cooler in Fear 2, you have a nuke going off early on in the game, then you get to fight through the torn up city.  One of the coolest visuals, besides the nuke, was a bus that is hanging off a street edge, then ends up sliding down past you.   You also get pilot a Mech unit for 2 parts of the game which is really fun.
