For those of you who have played Starcraft or any of those flash defense games you’ll feel right at home with Defense Grid.  DG is a defense game that really takes it to the next level not only graphically, but also by the complexity of towers, maps and units that you’ll face.

I started playing this game about 10 days ago and absolutely love it.  There are about 20 maps to go through, which took me a few days however the game has emmence replay value.  No only do almost all the maps have challenges such as completing the map using only 10 towers or with limited money, but it also lists the scores of everyone that has ever played in a top list.  So not only are you trying to complete the challenges, but you’re competing with other gamers for top score.  Currently I’m making my way through the challenges which are pretty tough, I’m about 1/3 of the way through, although I had to skip 1 map cause I just couldn’t  get it.

What puts it over the top as a must have game is it’s $20 price tag.   The game can be purchased on Steam and you’ll be playing within a few mins.   Kudos to Hidden Path for creating such a great game.
